Our story

The foundation stone for the success story of BKB Globe was laid at the end of 1996. At that time, the founding partner Stephan Bergius decided to give up his work in the corporate environment in order to use his professional and personal resources in a target-oriented and independent manner in the medium-sized business sector.

Discussions took place with his long-time companion Lothar Krenge, as well as Ulrich Bönders – they had known each other for years from joint projects. Agreement was quickly reached and the activities of the newly founded BKB Globe internationale Spedition GmbH started as early as January 1997, at that time with two employees.

The managing director and partner Stephan Bergius succeeded in expanding the business significantly within a short period of time. The company started with the core competence overseas import, where extensive container volumes were moved with the Asian partner network.

This was followed by:

• 1998 – Warehouse logistics division for a well-known discount company
• 1999 – Export department – overseas and land transport
• 2003 – air freight
• 2006 – project shipments worldwide

Through constant innovation and expansion of the IT infrastructure, the work processes have been further optimized and the customers have been offered numerous simplifications and value added services. With our overseas partners, the flow of data and the fast availability of information was ensured.

Over the years, the number of employees increased, many were trained in the company and have been working here for over 20 years this continuity contributes greatly to customer satisfaction and the company’s success.  

Particularly important to us has been the medium-term strategy for the succession of the company, the management was given in the spring of 2020 in younger hands to ensure the continuity of the company for the future. Founding shareholder-managing directors Lothar Krenge and Stephan Bergius were followed by managing directors Arkadius Grabietz and Andreas Beier.
